After the success of National Cinema Day last year, the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) and cinemas across the country have also decided to celebrate 'National Cinema Day' in India and offer tickets for Rs 99. Currently, the average ticket price across NCR is in the range of Rs 200-1800.



Around 4,000 screens across the country, including major chains like PVR, INOX, Cinépolis, Carnival, Miraj and Citypride, Asian, Mukta A2, Movietime, Wave, M2K, and Delite, are among those that will sell tickets at Rs 99 on the given day.



Kamal Gianchandani, president MAI says,” “National Cinema Day is returning with tickets priced at Rs 99 on October 13th. All films and all shows will be priced at Rs 99 apart from special format shows. National Cinema Day is a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers as the industry wants fo thank moviegoers for a record-breaking films.”
