New Delhi:- Good news is coming out for crores of ration card holders. Explain that the Telangana government is preparing to distribute free rice to ration card holders. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will formally launch the program on Ugadi Day. This year Ugadi will be celebrated on 30 March.
Rice will be available from 1 April
The Civil Supplies Department is making arrangements to provide free rice in place of doddu rice in all ration shops across the state from April 1.
According to the number of ration card holders, each person will be given 6 kg free rice. Food enough for four months. The state government is giving a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal on the grain better than the monsoon season.
According to sources in the civil supply organization, 8 lakh tonnes of good rice has been received after grinding paddy in rice mills. They are in the warehouses of the districts.
From there, rice will reach divisional level stock points and then ration shops.
Officials estimate that the good rice coming out of the paddy being crushed in mills will be sufficient for the next 4 months.
Telangana has 91,19,268 ration cards. It consists of 2,82,77,859 beneficiaries. The QR code on the smart ration card is preparing to issue new ration cards as the Telangana Civil Supplies Department Smart Card.
It has been decided to place a QR code on each smart ration card. What should the smart card look like. Various options are being considered for this. It is expected that this process will be completed in a few days.
