Delhi-NCR [India]: The ‘Most online dental screening tests performed in 24 hours’ is a record that Sensodyne, a popular oral care brand from Haleon (previously GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare), establishes. More than 27,000 people took the dental examination as part of the historic Maha Kumbh 2025 event, which was a major milestone in teaching Indians the value of preventative oral care. Sensodyne further shown its dedication by distributing its recently introduced Rs. 20 tiny toothpaste pack, which aims to lower the cost and increase accessibility of sensitivity protection.
Sensodyne’s World Oral Health Day campaign, which encourages people to Take the First Step towards improved oral health, also launches with this record. Sensodyne has done “chill tests” all throughout India for more than ten years, enabling customers to identify and treat dental sensitivity early. Millions have benefited from this program by being able to recognize their disease, get prompt treatment, and resume enjoying their favorite meals, thus improving their quality of life.
“Our mission at Sensodyne is to encourage people to take the first step towards their oral health,” said Kishlay Seth, Haleon India Subcontinent’s Category Lead for Oral Health. At Maha Kumbh 2025, setting a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDTM is about more than just the statistics; it’s about the effect we want to make by reaching thousands of people, spreading awareness, and promoting daily oral health improvements. By promoting education throughout World Oral Health Month and providing free digital dental examinations, we are advancing this mission. Through these continuous initiatives, Sensodyne keeps improving oral health in India and facilitating universal access to oral care education, awareness, and treatment.
“We are honored to collaborate with Sensodyne on this endeavor to increase oral health awareness in India,” said Dr. Ashok Dhoble, Hon. Secretary General Head, Indian Dental Association. This program is an example of how knowledge and accessibility can alter oral health, and as the Indian Dental Association, we have always been at the forefront of advocating preventative dental care. This initiative emphasizes the value of early identification and intervention while also empowering people to take the first step toward improved oral health.
In partnership with A Dental Friend and Smilo, a committed group of about 200 promoters used mobile technology to assist the screenings during Maha Kumbh. To provide a smooth and reliable experience, more than thirty dentists who are members of IDA were on hand to supervise the procedure and answer any questions.
Sensodyne’s effort, which combines accessibility, technology, and education, lays the groundwork for a broader movement as World Oral Health Day approaches on March 20. To ensure that more people can easily evaluate their oral health, Sensodyne is now offering free digital dental examinations to the general public, building on the success of the event that broke records. To examine the condition of your teeth, just scan the QR code.
To encourage an increasing number of Indians to ‘Take the First Step’ for their oral health, Sensodyne will launch a complete multimedia approach in the coming days, including a web campaign, influencer partnerships, Spotify integrations, and coverage on TV, radio, and print. In order to improve access to oral healthcare, the company will also start corporate health camps and dental vans around the nation.
