New Delhi: A video is going viral on social media in which some passengers are seen crossing the AFC (Automatic Fair Collection) Gates of Delhi Metro. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued an explanation regarding this incident.
According to DMRC, the incident is of Jama Masjid Metro Station of Magenta Line on the evening of 13 February 2025. At that time, the crowd of passengers at the station suddenly increased, causing some passengers to cross the AFC Gate.
The DMRC clarified that the situation was temporary and security personnel and other staff were present at the station, who worked to convince the passengers and keep the situation under control. According to the DMRC, the situation never got out of control and it was just a quick reaction of passengers due to the sudden crowd at AFC Gates.
In fact, on the night of thirteen February, there was such a crowd at the Jama Masjid station of Delhi Metro that many young barricates started to get out. There was chaos at the metro station for some time. It is being told that the boys of the Muslim community were committing such acts, after which the debate on social media was stunned.
