First of all, choose bread slices – sole, brown, or any of the multiigraine bread can be used. Cut the edges of the bread and put it in the mixer.
Add curd and some water to it and grind it well, so that a thick solution can be made. Add baking soda, cumin powder, green chillies and salt to this solution and mix well.
Keep in mind that the solution is not too thin, nor too thick. Now heat the pan and apply some oil in it and put the solution on the pan and bake it till it becomes light brown. A delicious and crispy cheela will be ready in this way.
When the solution spreads on the pan, add finely chopped onion and tomatoes over it. If you want, you can also add extra vegetables like carrots, capsicum or spinach, which will increase both its taste and nutrition.
Now let it cook on light flame, so that it cooks properly and the vegetables stick well. When the cheela becomes golden and crisp from the bottom, turn it gently and cook it for 1-2 minutes on the other side.
When cooked from both sides, remove it from the pan and serve it with hot coriander mint sauce or curd. This is a freshness and delicious snack that will be liked by people of all ages.
