New Delhi: Many key players of Team India are currently participating in the Ranji Trophy, including Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja. However, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were not playing in this tournament, as both were not fit. Now this information has come to light that Virat Kohli will play in the match starting from January 30, for which the District Cricket Association (DDCA) has made special preparations.
Virat Kohli, who plays for Delhi, will take part in the Ranji clash against Railways from January 30. This match will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. According to media reports, DDCA has decided to give free entry to about 10,000 spectators for this match. The North End and Old Club House of the stadium will be opened for spectators and tight security arrangements will be made so that people can enjoy the match.
Under the new BCCI rules, senior players are also now obliged to play domestic cricket, due to which many star players have started appearing in Ranji Trophy. Virat Kohli had recently informed DDCA that he will not be able to play in the match starting from January 23 because he had neck pain, but he is ready for the match starting from January 30. This match will be Virat Kohli's return to Ranji cricket after 13 years. DDCA President Rohan Jaitley has also confirmed that special preparations are being made for Virat and he will play in this match.
