Delhi Delhi. Airtel has introduced a new recharge pack for prepaid users under compliance with the recent order of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The telecom body has instructed telecom companies to provide tariff plans to customers only with voice and SMS benefits, including no data benefits. The price of the new recharge pack is ₹ 1,849, it lasts for a year, and it may be liked by customers who do not want any data benefits in their recharge plan.
What is in the new Airtel prepaid plan?
Customers who want a long -term plan without any bundle data benefit can choose the new ₹ 1,849 plan. It offers unlimited voice and 3,600 SMS for 365 days. It also provides compensation benefits such as Hello Tunes Subscription, Airtel Xstream Access and Apollo 24/7 Circle Membership for three months. The new plan is available through the Airtel app, but customers can also buy it from third-party platforms and offline retailers.
Although there is no data benefit in the new plan, it is only slightly cheaper than the ₹ 1,959 annual plan, which has now been closed. This does not fulfill the purpose of the order of TRAI, according to which customers who do not require data should only have cheap options with voice and SMS benefits. According to a report, TRAI has asked Airtel and its rivals, Reliance Jio and VI (east Vodafone Idea) to reduce the price of recharge packs with only voice and SMS profit. The new plan may be Airtel's answer to TRAI.
Another similar plan of Airtel
Like the ₹ 1849 prepaid recharge plan, Airtel's ₹ 469 prepaid recharge plan also excludes data benefits, which gives customers only access to voice and SMS. Its validity is 84 days and includes free benefits like Hello Tunes of Airtel and 3 months' Apollo 24/7 circle membership. This plan is ₹ 30 cheaper than the previous plan with equal benefits.
