A very shameful case has come to light from a college in Bareilly. Where a student got her periods while studying. When the student asked for sanitary pads, the staff threw her out of the class. Due to non-availability of pads, his clothes got dirty. This caused embarrassment to the student. The student's father has demanded action.

The student's father has complained in writing to the Women's Commission and the DM and others. After which the administration has become active in the whole matter and investigation is being done. The principal of the college has said in the whole matter that she got the information very late.

Actually, a student of Guru Nanak Rikhi Singh Inter College, Bareilly got her period while studying in class. When the student demanded sanitary pads from the college administration, she was thrown out of the room. He was not given a pad for an hour. After an hour, the student was asked to go home in the same condition. While going home, the girl's clothes got spoiled and she had to face embarrassment.

The student's father alleges that his daughter has been mentally adversely affected. After not getting help from the college, his daughter reached home crying. After reaching home he complained to his parents. After that the father has given a written complaint to the college administration to the State Women's Commission, Women's Welfare Department, DM and DIOS. He has demanded investigation into the matter and action.

While giving information about the whole matter, College Principal Rachna Arora said that this is a matter of holiday time. By the time they came to know about this, the student had gone home. Being a women's college, the school has all female teachers and everyone has pads. Why would this be prohibited? The entire matter is being investigated.
