In 1995, the blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) was released, all the songs of which are liked even today. Apart from Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, Mandira Bedi also had an important role in the film. There is also a tremendous dance of Mandira Bedi and Shahrukh in the superhit song 'Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna' of the same film, which was choreographed by Saroj Khan. Mandira mentioned the shooting of this song and narrated an anecdote.

The song 'Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna' was a hit. Mandira Bedi gave a tremendous performance in this song but she was very scared when it was being shot. Saroj Khan had scolded him a lot while teaching him dance.

Mandira Bedi was afraid of Saroj Khan

In an interview given to Human of Bombay, Mandira Bedi shared an incident related to the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. She had told how scared she was of Saroj Khan on the shoot of the song 'Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna'. The actress told that Saroj Khan was a very good person at heart but she did not tolerate any negligence in work.

When she was teaching dance and you did not maintain proper coordination, she would scold anyone in front of everyone. In this, Mandira Bedi further said, 'Saroj ma'am seemed to me to be a math teacher who used to scold the children. When she taught dance steps, my hands and feet would become cold.

When Mandira Bedi was compared with Sunny Deol

Mandira Bedi told that veteran choreographer Saroj Khan had compared her dance moves with Sunny Deol's dance. Mandira Bedi further said, 'I remember he told me that you know something, you dance like someone I know well. That person is Sunny Deol, because your dance moves are exactly like him. Saroj Khan had even said that Mandira does not know how to do matkani till her waist. But later Mandira worked very hard and danced well on that song which was praised by Saroj ji.

That song was challenging for Mandira

Mandira Bedi told that she danced on many songs and did a lot of work but worked very hard for DDLJ. Especially during the shoot of the song 'Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna', she had to work very hard and later when she met Saroj Khan, she was scared but gradually she became comfortable with her. Mandira Bedi told that during that time Shahrukh Khan had helped her a lot which made things even easier.
