The India vs Australia Test series recently saw an off-field controversy when Virat Kohli asked a reporter not to take photographs of his family at the airport. Now, another controversial incident has happened involving Ravindra Jadeja. The left-arm spinner addressed a press conference on Saturday ahead of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne and it seems his proceedings have not impressed some media outlets. 7 News, one of whose reporters was asked by Kohli not to take photographs of his family, said Jadeja refused to answer questions in English because it was an “awkward and cold media conference”.

The report said it was 'an annoying situation' for Australian journalists as Jadeja answered questions in his 'native language' – Hindi. It also said that Jadeja left the PC early. The report further claimed that “India's media team said the conference was for “travelling Indian media only”, even though Australian media were invited.”

However, two journalists traveling for the series – Dainik Jagran's Abhishek Tripathi and RevSportz's Shubhayan Chakraborty – claimed that the Australian media was overreacting. Both claimed that Jadeja could not answer all the questions due to lack of time.

Many social media users termed the 7 News report as 'hypocrisy'.

After the third Test match played against Australia in Brisbane, Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli got into a heated argument with some media persons at the airport. Kohli, who prefers to keep his personal life away from the limelight to his career, was reportedly not happy with the media capturing him and his family members. Kohli reportedly lost his temper after seeing him and his children being captured by cameras at the airport. However, it was later revealed that this was just a misunderstanding.

There are reports that some journalists were interviewing Australian fast bowler Scott Boland when Kohli and his family were seen at the airport. The cameras focused on Kohli, seeing which the Indian star was not happy.

Kohli was surprised by Channel 7's cameras focusing on him and his family. He was involved in a tense conversation with a TV reporter over concerns that his privacy was not being respected.

However, matters calmed down when Kohli was assured that his children were not being filmed. According to a report, Kohli even shook hands with the Channel 7 cameraman after getting the necessary assurances.
