Sushant Sareen, a specialist in foreign affairs, has publicly endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on the recent assault on the Hindu Sabha temple in Canada. According to Sareen, Modi purposefully chose to remain silent about Canada’s accusations for the last year because he felt it was beneath his dignity to reply.

But the new event has reached a “tipping point,” which is why Modi has come forth. Sareen claims that Modi’s comments hold Canadian officials responsible for their inaction in addition to denouncing the Khalistani terrorists.

“In the past year since Canada began making these reckless accusations without providing any proof, the prime minister has kept a very studied silence,” Sareen said in an interview with ANI. He has not answered. He has felt that answering the Canadians’ comments is beneath his dignity. Therefore, the Prime Minister has just ignored it, even though the External Affairs Minister, the ministry, and others have made comments on it. However, I believe that yesterday’s events marked a turning point in some respects, and I believe the Prime Minister responded to that. When the Prime Minister of India responds to something like this, he uses the vocabulary that he has.”

He went on to remark, “When he claims that this targeting was done on purpose, he is not only criticizing these Khalistani terrorists but also accusing the Canadian government of allowing it to occur in spite of concerns about a breach of peace. They have been adhering to a two-tier approach, as some Canadian observers have noted.

Prime Minister Modi notably denounced the assaults on the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, Canada, saying that “cowardly attempts to intimidate” Indian diplomats were heinous and that New Delhi expects Canadian authorities to enforce the rule of law and provide justice.

“I vehemently condemn the intentional assault on a Canadian Hindu temple. The despicable efforts to intimidate our ambassadors are equally reproachable. India’s determination would never be weakened by such violent attacks. On X, Prime Minister Modi said, “We expect the Canadian government to uphold the rule of law and ensure justice.”

Hours after the Ministry of External Affairs denounced the violent actions committed by separatists and extremists at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Ontario, yesterday, PM Modi made his forceful remark.

“We urge the Canadian government to make sure that all houses of worship are safe from these kinds of assaults. We also anticipate that individuals who engage in violent behavior will face consequences. In response to questions from the media about the violence in Brampton, MEA spokeswoman Randhir Jaiswal said, “We continue to have serious concerns about the safety and security of Indian nationals in Canada.”

“The outreach of our Consular officers to provide services to Indians and Canadian citizens alike will not be deterred by intimidation, harassment and violence,” he said.

India has often voiced its serious concerns about violence, extremism, and anti-Indian sentiment in Canada and has called for measures to stop these trends.

PM Modi has made this comment for the first time since the crisis involving Canada began. According to sources, it reflects PM Modi’s advocacy for Indians worldwide.

On Sunday (local time), there was a “violent disruption” at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Canada, which is close to Toronto, during an Indian consulate camp.

Widespread condemnation was directed at the occurrence both within and outside of Canada. Pierre Poilievre, the head of the Canadian opposition, denounced the assault on the Hindu Sabha temple as “completely unacceptable.”

Chandra Arya, a member of parliament from Canada, also denounced the temple assault and described the growth of blatant violent extremism in Canada as a “red line has been crossed” by Khalistani extremists.

The assault by Khalistani fanatics on the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton was also denounced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Trudeau emphasized the value of religious freedom and said that every Canadian has the right to practice their religion in a safe and unrestricted manner.

“Today’s violent incidents at Brampton’s Hindu Sabha Mandir are intolerable. Every Canadian has the right to freely and securely follow their religion. On X, he expressed gratitude to the Peel Regional Police for their prompt action in defending the neighborhood and looking into the situation.

The new assault highlights a troubling trend of religious intolerance and joins a series of similar events that have been reported in previous years.

Following accusations of an assassination on Canadian territory made by Canadian politicians without supporting documentation, relations between India and Canada have drastically deteriorated.
