Many firecracker shops were gutted in a fire in Bokaro district of Jharkhand. This incident created a stir in the area. However, there is no news of any casualty. There was an atmosphere of chaos due to a massive fire in a firecracker shop. As soon as information about the fire was received, the fire brigade team reached the spot. The incident took place near Garga Bridge of Bokaro Steel City police station area. Five fire brigade vehicles reached the spot to control the fire. After a lot of hard work the fire could be controlled. According to the information, due to the fire there was a huge traffic jam on both sides of the Garga Bridge. After the fire, shopkeepers started running here and there.
The fire was so terrible that the flames could be seen from a distance. There was a cloud of smoke in the sky due to the fire. However, there is no news of any casualty in this incident.
Bokaro City Deputy Superintendent of Police Alok Ranjan said about the incident that 13-14 firecracker shops were burnt to ashes in the fire incident. Giving information, he said that the district administration had given temporary permission to the shopkeepers to set up firecracker shops. Ranjan said that the fire has been brought under control and the matter is being investigated.
On the incident of fire, the shopkeepers claimed that they had suffered huge losses in this incident. He has demanded compensation from the administration for the loss. After the incident, BJP MLA from Bokaro Biranchi Narayan reached the spot and said that if the district administration and fire department had been active, such an incident would not have happened.
