Delhi Pollution: Today is Diwali. Delhi has become a gas chamber even before Diwali. The air of Delhi has turned dull on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. There is fog on the roads since Thursday morning. The air quality in most areas of Delhi has reached extremely dangerous category. Delhi's air quality index has crossed 300.
Firecrackers are completely banned in Delhi. Despite this, firecrackers continued to be burst in Delhi till late night. By 10 pm on Wednesday night, the air in Delhi had become so bad that people were not even able to breathe. People started feeling suffocated. Many people also felt burning sensation in the eyes and throat. The overall AQI of Delhi was recorded at 307 at 4 pm on Wednesday, which means that the air quality of Delhi has become very bad.
AQI of Narela, Delhi was recorded at 311 on Thursday morning. Whereas, 322 was recorded in Alipore. It was 282 in Ashok Vihar Phase One, 251 in Civil Line, 210 in Delhi Cantt. AQI remained beyond 200 in most areas of Delhi. This clearly means that the air of Delhi has become completely bad.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of Delhi on Thursday is expected to be 21 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be 36 degrees. The sky will be clear. No rain is expected. There will be sunshine during the day but the night temperature will drop by one or two degrees. The weather of Delhi is going to remain like this for the next six days.
Strict action will be taken against those who burn firecrackers in the country's capital Delhi. 300 teams will keep an eye on this. There is a complete ban on burning of firecrackers in the capital Delhi today. Police said that if the government order is violated, a case will be registered and punishment will be given. As punishment, the person can be fined Rs 200 or jailed for six months. The government will also take action against firecracker traders.
