Ragi Cutlet


Raag cutlet


  • Ragi – 1 cup

  • Onion- 1

  • Grated carrots – ½ cup
    Cabbage – ½ cup

  • Potato- 2

  • Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp

  • Ground black pepper – ½ tsp

  • Salt- ½ tsp

  • Garam Masala – ½ tsp

  • Bread crumbs- ½ cup


How to make Ragi Cutlet


Add onion, grated carrot, cabbage and mashed boiled potatoes in a bowl.


Add red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, black pepper, salt and garam masala powder.


Add ragi flour to this mixture and mix all the ingredients well and knead a soft dough.


Now take a ball of dough and make cutlets of your choice from it.


Coat the cutlets with bread crumbs and deep fry until golden brown.


Your healthy ragi cutlets are ready.


ragi cheela



  • Ragi flour- 1 cup
    Onion finely chopped – ½ cup
    Tomato finely chopped- 1

  • Grated cheese – ¼ cup
    Finely chopped green chillies – ½

  • Grated ginger – ½ inch
    Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp

  • salt to taste
    Oil or ghee- as required


How to make Ragi Cheela



  • Take ragi flour in a bowl and add chopped onion, tomato, green chilli, grated ginger, chopped coriander and salt.

  • Now to make the batter, keep whisking everything while adding water slowly. The batter should not be too thin or too thick. Dosa batter has to be made as it is.

  • Heat the pan on medium flame and apply some oil or ghee on it.

  • Spread the batter on the pan with a big spoon and let it cook well.

  • Now turn it over and let it cook from the other side also.

  • Put grated cheese on it.

  • Ragi cheela is just ready.

  • Serve it with coriander chutney or sauce to children for breakfast.
