Known for its compelling true-crime programming, Investigation Discovery (ID) has revealed that it is now working on a documentary series centered on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ contentious life. The project is expected to premiere in 2025.

Following Diddy’s recent legal troubles, which included his arrest on grave accusations just the day before, this news is made.

The multipart documentary, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will explore the rise and impact of the music entrepreneur along with the concerning claims of aggressive behavior and criminal conduct that have surfaced throughout time.

The Hollywood Reporter was able to obtain an ID statement that states the goal of the docuseries is to “trace the story of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, unravelling allegations of a pattern of depravity.”

This announcement’s timing is especially poignant since it comes after Diddy was arrested awaiting his trial in New York.

Federal authorities detained him on Monday, and he is accused of racketeering and sex trafficking.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that he has been accused of committing a decades-long pattern of physical and sexual abuse against women in a three-count indictment that was just made public.

The probe has become more intense as a result of Diddy being sued many times.

Notably, Dawn Richard, a former bandmate, has filed a complaint claiming withholding of royalties along with many offenses, including violence and false detention.

Since his former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, originally made charges, several lawsuits have surfaced, including this one.

Apart from Richard’s case, Diddy has been the target of at least eight other court complaints, all of which accuse him of sexual assault and other wrongdoings.

Producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones also filed a case in February, alleging trafficking and harassment.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that Diddy has continuously refuted the accusations and has attempted to have some of the lawsuits against him dismissed.

Federal law officials conducted a raid on Diddy’s homes in March as a component of the continuing investigation into human trafficking.

In May, a troubling video from 2016 that showed Diddy violently abusing Ventura emerged, adding credence to the accusations against him and raising serious questions about his behavior.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming documentary will include statements from people who have allegedly experienced abuse, coupled with archive video and an in-depth investigation by Rolling Stone in order to provide a forum to those who have made such claims.

The film, which is being produced by Maxine Productions and IPC in collaboration with Rolling Stone Films, is anticipated to premiere on ID as well as Max.
