But everyone was perplexed when Shammi Kapoor allegedly claimed to be married to Asha. Years later, the seasoned actress has said that Shammi’s ex-girlfriend was likewise offended by a practical joke.

Before making her breakthrough as a producer and director, Asha Parekh starred in a number of motion pictures. She produced the television programs Palaash Ke Phool and Jyoti. She went on to direct Kangan, Kora Kagaz, and Dal Mein Kala Hain. Shammi kept acting in movies in the meantime before taking a vacation from the big screen.
