Those who reach office late are no longer in trouble news In hindi

According to reports, staff members have been warned that if they do not report by 9.15am, their normal half-day leave will be deducted.

Government Employees News In Hindi: Government employees have been warned that half-day casual leave will be deducted if they do not report by 9.15 a.m. To crack down on “latecomers”, the Central government and training department have ordered that all government employees, including senior officials, must reach office by 9 a.m., giving a grace period of 15 minutes.

If for any reason the employee cannot attend office on a particular day, he or she should be informed in advance and apply for normal leave, the circular quoted by TOI said, adding that officials will be able to ensure attendance and monitor time constraints.

According to reports, staff members have been warned that if they do not report by 9.15 a.m., their normal half-day leave will be deducted. While central government offices work from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., junior-level employees often come late and leave early, causing inconvenience.

Let us tell you that in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government tried to implement office time, but the employees opposed it, calling long journeys challenging. Similarly, the biometric attendance system was earlier used to monitor punctuality. Then it had to be suspended due to the pandemic. It was restored in February 2022.

Last year's directive urged central government employees to revert to biometric attendance and stressed the need to seriously address lateness and early departures. Some employees frequently skip the office or stay for a short time in departments where the IT-enabled faceless system has been implemented. The new policy is aimed at instilling more discipline, but it may prove difficult for employees who are used to arriving late even after 10 am.
