Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has done it again! The 15-year-old player achieved his third 15-ball half-century in IPL 2026. He reached his second league century after he completed his 36-ball century at the plate. This achievement currently holds the position of the third-quickest hundred ever recorded in IPL history. His outstanding performance took place against Sunrisers Hyderabad during their match in Jaipur on Saturday. Sooryavanshi achieved his 1000 run milestone as the fastest player to do so according to his total number of balls played while he continued to establish himself among the best athletes.
On Saturday, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi needed only 15 balls to reach the fifty mark for the third time. He reached the milestone in style by hitting a six off Sakib Hussain in the final over of the powerplay. He scored another fifty runs to complete his second IPL century with only 21 balls remaining in the match.
He scored two fifties in 15-ball performances during his previous matches against CSK and RCB. Sooryavanshi finished his batting performance by scoring 103 runs from 37 deliveries, which included 5 fours and 12 sixes at a strike rate of 278.37. His century became the fifth of IPL 2026, joining Sanju Samson (2), Tilak Varma, and Abhishek Sharma on the list.

Sooryavanshi is now the fastest batter to reach 1000 T20 runs based on his total number of balls played. He broke the record held by Mitchell Owen, who needed 533 balls, while Sooryavanshi reached the mark in just 473 deliveries.

The excellent performance of Sooryavanshi in IPL 2026 shows his improvement from his Under-19 World Cup performance where he achieved victory through his final match winning performance. He has reached scores of 52 31 39 78 0 46 and 8 across his seven games this season.
The Rajasthan Royals team signed Sooryavanshi for Rs 1.10 crore which allowed him to make his IPL debut during the previous year. He was just 13 at the time and earned the deal thanks to strong performances for India at the age-group level. He made a strong first impression in his first IPL season by scoring 252 runs across seven matches which included a spectacular 101.
