The weather in Delhi is going to be very hot and troublesome on 26 April 2026. According to IMD, heatwave conditions will persist throughout the day, especially in the afternoon, its effect will be more dangerous. Conditions like strong sunlight, hot winds and heat wave can make people miserable. There is little chance of relief even till evening. The weather will be clear but the intensity of heat will be much higher than normal, due to which it may be difficult to go out.

The maximum temperature in Delhi on April 26 is likely to be around 42°C and the minimum temperature will be 26°C. Humidity may remain between 50% to 25%, which will make it feel more humid. This temperature is above normal and can make the heat wave situation more serious. The temperature will rise rapidly during the day and the effect of heat will continue till late evening.

According to IMD, double effect of heat wave will be seen with strong surface wind in the afternoon. That means, not only heat but also hot winds will dehydrate the body rapidly. Heat wave will continue even in the evening, due to which there will be no respite from the heat even at night. The Meteorological Department has called it a sign of severe heat, although no colored alert has been issued.

Caution is very important in this dangerous heat. Avoid going out between 12 noon and 4 pm. Drink enough water, wear light and loose clothes and keep your head covered. Children and the elderly need to pay special attention as the risk of heat stroke may increase. Use an umbrella or cap when going out and avoid staying in the sun for too long.

The good news is that there will be a change in the weather from April 27. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain, which will cause a slight drop in the temperature. Relief with rain will continue on April 28 and 29 and the temperature may reach 40°C. There will be partly cloudy sky on April 30, while the weather will clear from May 1 and the temperature may again reach around 40°C.
