Shashank Singh's woes with fielding continue even against Delhi Capitals today, on April 25, in the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The sun is beating out on the oval as the Delhi Capitals chose to bat first, asking the Punjab Kings to survive the 41°C. And Punjab Kings did not meet the mark in the fielding. Shashank Singh, who dropped three easy catches in their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, dropped DC's KL Rahul when he was batting at just 12 runs.
Shashank was fielding at the deep square leg when KL Rahul flicked Arshdeep Singh's length ball. Shashank tried to cup the ball toward his left shoulder. But the ball glided through his palms and went for a boundary. To be noticed, Shashank lost his track when the ball reached him, as he moved his head away at the moment.

Arshdeep strikes amid fielding lapses
Arshdeep, meanwhile, was halfway through his celebration. But watching his man dropping the ball made him stop his jovial run. Arshdeep even expressed his frustration.

The dropped catch, meanwhile, became heavy for Shreyas Iyer's team. KL Rahul scored his 43rd half century in the Indian Premier League. He got to his 50th run in just 26 balls, while having the local boy Nitish Rana batting with him.
