New Delhi/Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered its biggest setback so far. Veteran faces of the party and Rajya Sabha MPs Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal have suddenly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). These three leaders met BJP national president Nitin Nabin and officially joined the party. On this occasion, Nitin Nabin warmly welcomed all the leaders with flowers and laddus.

Kejriwal’s sharp attack: ‘Punjabis were shocked’

After this major rift in the party, the first reaction of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has come to light. Kejriwal wrote a very brief but strong message on the social media platform X. He said in his post, “BJP has again messed with Punjabis.” Even though this statement of Kejriwal is short, its political meaning is considered to be very deep.

Are two-thirds of AAP’s MPs leaving?

Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party has a total of 10 MPs in Rajya Sabha, out of which 3 have now changed sides. But it is a matter of concern that the claim is being made that two-thirds of the MPs have broken down. After joining BJP, Raghav Chadha made a big claim saying that almost two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs have left the party and they will become a part of BJP as a faction. If this happens, the existence of Aam Aadmi Party in Parliament may be in danger.

Bhagwant Mann’s ‘traitor’ attack

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s temper is on cloud nine over this entire political incident. He scolded these leaders during a press conference in Chandigarh. Mann said in a very harsh tone, “These 6-7 people who have gone are not from Punjab. These people are the real traitors of Punjabis.”

The Chief Minister further said that these people got seats without any hard work, they neither had to take to the streets to ask for votes nor to speak on people’s issues. According to Mann, these leaders have joined BJP only to save themselves. He taunted and said that there is no place for them even in BJP, they are just people who do ‘paint’ (show off) and leave as soon as they see an opportunity.
