  • Take gram flour in a big vessel, add grated beetroot, onion, green chilli, ginger, spices and salt, now slowly add water and prepare a thick batter, the batter should neither be too thin nor too thick.

  • Heat a non-stick tawa or pan, apply a little oil so that the cheela does not stick.

  • Pour the batter on the pan and spread it in a round shape, cook on medium flame till it turns golden on both the sides, you can add some oil on top.

  • When the cheela is cooked well, take it out in a plate and serve it with curd, green chutney or tomato sauce.
