Bajaj Auto was the standout gainer, rising 0.89–0.90% on both exchanges to ₹9,636. Eicher Motors followed with gains of 0.66–0.73%, trading near ₹7,140. Mahindra & Mahindra added 0.44–0.61%, holding above ₹3,061. VST Tillers edged up 0.18–0.35% to ₹5,190–5,197.
Force Motors was the sharpest decliner, falling over 3% to ₹20,099–20,105. Hyundai Motor India shed 2.93–3.10% to trade near ₹1,787–1,790. Ola Electric fell around 3% to ₹36.14–36.20. Ather Energy declined 2.44–2.90% to ₹872–876. Landmark Cars dropped 2.23–2.38% to ₹407–408.
Two-wheeler segment diverged from broader weakness. Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, and TVS Motor showed relative resilience. Hero MotoCorp was nearly flat at ₹5,029–5,030, while Bajaj Auto was the only large-cap two-wheeler to post meaningful gains.
EV stocks under pressure. Ola Electric, Ather Energy, and Olectra Greentech all declined on the day, tracking the broader risk-off sentiment in the market.
Passenger vehicle OEMs broadly weak. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, and Hyundai Motor India all slipped, consistent with the Sensex and Nifty sell-off.
Commercial vehicle stocks mixed. Ashok Leyland fell modestly (-0.56%), SML Isuzu was nearly unchanged (-0.14%), while Force Motors saw sharper selling.
