Lucknow. Yogi Adityanath government is continuously taking big decisions regarding the development of sports and players. The state is soon going to get 5 new sports stadiums, through which players will be able to get better training and facilities in their own district. The government is paying special attention to strengthening sports infrastructure through the Sports Department.

Stadium construction in Ghazipur, Chandauli, Hapur, Sambhal and Shamli.

At present, a total of 84 sports stadiums are operating in 71 districts in the state. Along with this, construction of 5 new stadiums is going on at a fast pace. These:

• New (second) stadium in Ghazipur
• Sports Stadium in Chandauli
• Sports Stadium in Hapur
• Sports Stadium in Sambhal
• Sports Stadium in Shamli

With the construction of these stadiums, local players will get a better platform in their own area.

Stadium construction progress: where and how much work has been completed

Talking about the progress of construction work:

• The stadium in Ghazipur is almost 99.9% complete, some minor works are left
• About 70% work has been completed in Hapur
• About 26% construction work has been done in Sambhal.
• Construction work has started in Shamli
• Tender process is still going on in Chandauli

Except Ghazipur, construction of stadiums in the remaining four districts has been approved in the year 2025-26. These will be inaugurated only after completion of construction and handover.

New sports stadium will be equipped with modern facilities

Yogi government is not limited to just building stadiums, but is also equipping them with modern facilities. The following facilities are being developed in these stadiums, so that players can get international level training:

• Multipurpose Hall
• swimming pool
• Badminton and Tennis Court
• volleyball court
• gym
• Hockey and football fields
• Athletics track

Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, these 5 new stadiums are being constructed at a rapid pace. After the completion of these stadiums, the players will get modern facilities in their own district, which will give them the opportunity for better training and they will be able to perform better at the state, national and international levels.
