Once again the havoc of speeding has been seen in the capital Delhi. Here an uncontrolled car killed an innocent person. A tragic road accident took place late Thursday night on Vikas Marg in Shakarpur area, in which one person lost his life and three members of his family were injured. The police have arrested the accused driver from the spot.

How did the accident happen?

According to the police, it is 1:30 am on the intervening night of 22-23 April. The deceased Neeraj (35 years) was returning from Connaught Place to his home in Vishwas Nagar along with his wife Sonam and two children. He reached near Geeta Colony Cut on Vikas Marg, when a speeding Maruti Celerio car hit his passion hard. Due to which all four people fell on the road and got seriously injured. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the injured to Hedgewar Hospital. During treatment in the hospital, doctors declared Neeraj dead.

Police arrested the accused driver

His wife Sonam and his son and daughter are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Neeraj’s body has been sent for postmortem. Immediately after the accident, the people present at the spot caught the accused car driver and handed him over to the police. The accused has been identified as Sachin Gulati (45), a resident of Sector-31, Noida. A case has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is ongoing.
