Anyone with a Freeview device might want to head to the settings and make sure things are retuned. That's the latest advice from the UK telly platform after the release of an update that brings four changes to the TV planner. "On 22nd April 2026, some broadcasters are making changes to their channels," Freeview explained. "You will need to retune to update your TV and keep your channels, and TV Guide up to date."

So what is actually changing?

Three channels are getting new names, including That's TV 3 (Ch 71), That's TV 3 MCR (Ch 86), and That's Classics MCR (Ch 93). These will now be called That's 20th Century, That's 20th Century MCR and That's Classics.

Along with those rebrands, there's also a new service called That's Entertainment launching. This will be available via channel 75 on the telly planner.

We've had a quick look at Freeview's TV Guide to see which shows are airing on That's Entertainment, but this channel is so new it's not yet showing. We'll update this story when we find out more.

Explaining more about the update, Freeview said, "Channels continue to evolve on Freeview with individual channel providers making the decision to move, add or remove channels. Freeview continues to ensure that audiences can enjoy a rich and varied content offering. "

Freeview has issued advice on how to retune devices, and here are the steps every user needs to follow.

• Press menu on your box or TV remote control

• Select 'set-up', 'installation', 'update' or a similar option. If you're asked for a password, the default code is '1234' or '0000'.

• Select 'first-time installation' (sometimes called 'factory reset', 'full retune' or 'default settings').

Press 'OK' if your equipment asks if it's OK to delete existing channels and then your retune should start automatically. If you're prompted to, save the channels that are found.

Freeview changes things throughout the year, but this latest release is one of its biggest in a while, so it's well worth following the advice and retuning as soon as possible.
