New Delhi: WhatsApp is testing a new feature that makes it easier to turn photos into stickers. Some beta users on Android can already see it. The update focuses on speeding up the process, so users don’t have to go through multiple steps just to create and send a sticker.
Earlier, users had to open an image, go to the menu, and then choose the “create sticker” option. That method is still there, but WhatsApp is now adding a quicker way to do the same thing. The idea is simple: fewer taps, faster results.

WhatsApp sticker feature
With the new update, tapping on an image brings up a small menu made just for stickers. From here, users can directly open the sticker editor. This saves time because they no longer need to search through the overflow menu. The editor itself remains the same, where users can adjust and customise the sticker before using it.
The first option in this new menu simply opens the sticker editor, just like before. Users can pick different versions of the image and choose what works best as a sticker. It’s just a quicker way to reach the same features, without removing anything.
The second option is more interesting. It lets users copy a sticker instantly without opening the editor. WhatsApp picks the best part of the image on its own and turns it into a sticker. After that, you get simple options to save it, favourite it, edit it, or send it in chat. This makes things faster and easier.
This feature is currently limited to some beta testers who have installed the latest Android beta version from the Play Store. Not everyone will see it right away. WhatsApp plans to expand access gradually over the coming weeks. If the feature is not available, users will still see the usual reaction options instead.
