Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a major step to curb air pollution in the national capital. He said that now only those vehicles will get fuel in Delhi, which have Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate. Those drivers who do not have this certificate will not get fuel from now on. The Chief Minister has given information about this order on his social media X handle.
In her post, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta made it clear that this step has been taken to stop the havoc of pollution in Delhi. He said that instructions in this regard have been issued to all the petrol pump operators and agencies of Delhi and it has been made clear to them that they should follow them seriously. Do not accept any kind of negligence in this direction.
He wrote in his post, now any vehicle without a valid ‘Pollution Under Control’ certificate will not be provided fuel like petrol, diesel, CNG or LPG at the fuel stations of Delhi. It is the need of the hour to take strict and effective steps to deal with the challenge of air pollution and our government is continuously working in this direction with full commitment, strong will and determination in the public interest.
He also expressed his views on Delhi’s pollution. He said that at present we will have to take effective steps to curb pollution in Delhi, only then will we see the situation on the ground becoming positive. The Chief Minister said that today it has become the need of the hour to take strict steps to curb pollution.
At the same time, the Chief Minister also mentioned the steps being taken by his government to curb pollution. He clarified that our government is working with full commitment towards making Delhi pollution free. He said that keeping public interest in mind, our government is working with full commitment.
