New Delhi: Abhishek Sharma slammed a cracking 47-ball century against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday, April 21. The swashbuckling left-hander single-handedly tormented the DC bowling attack to blaze his way to his second century in the IPL and 10th in T20 cricket.
While his opening partner, Travis Head, struggled to make the most of the fielding restrictions in the Powerplay, Abhishek took the DC bowlers to the cleaners to help SRH post 67/0 in the first six overs after the hosts were asked to bat first in the game. DC tried the spin ploy early on to contain Abhishek, but the plan to bring Nitish Rana in the Powerplay didn’t work.
