New Delhi: Actor Sonu Sood, known for helping those in need, has again extended support to a critically ill child by facilitating her medical treatment. A video shared by Sood on social media platform X about his interaction with the woman and her sick child is being widely shared with people appreciating his kindness.

Sood shared the video with a caption, “Sometimes, hope just needs someone to hold on a little longer.”

The child, identified as Neera was apparently suffered from a life-threatening medical condition and a surgery was needed. Sood consulted his foundation and also consulted doctors treating the child.

The surgery was subsequently carried out with the support of the medical team at Jupiter Hospital. The procedure was successful, and the child is now reported to be stable.

Neera will recover, says her mother

In the footage, Sood can be seen interacting with the mother and the child, with her mother saying, “Someone told me that you live here. I didn’t even know where your office was, but… they had said my child would not survive. Later, when I spoke to you and met you, you connected me with the doctor. The doctor explained that she would recover. That’s when I found some hope—that if the doctor is saying this, then she will be fine.”

Sood, then takes Neera in his lap, interacts with her and hands the child back the woman. Replying to the woman, he says. “It’s all blessings, a mother’s prayers, the doctor’s efforts, and the child has her own destiny too.”
