Vrindavan; Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma reached Vrindavan on Monday on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, where they met famous saint Premanand Maharaj and sought his blessings. This is said to be the fifth meeting of both of them with Sant Premanand Maharaj.

The tour took place amid the busy schedule of IPL 2026, when Virat Kohli was on a break for a few days. Both of them reached Vrindavan late Sunday evening and stayed at Radisson Hotel.

Two and a half hour satsang in Kelikunj Ashram

At around 6 am on Monday morning, Virat and Anushka reached Kelikunj Ashram in Vrindavan, where they participated in the satsang of Sant Premanand Maharaj. Both were present in the ashram for about two and a half hours and listened to the satsang sitting on the ground in a completely simple manner.

During this time, there was neither any kind of VIP protocol nor any special security frills, due to which his spiritual tour remained completely like that of ordinary devotees.

During the satsang, Saint Premanand Maharaj gave detailed sermons on the path of devotion, self-purification and God attainment.

Both were impressed by the sermon of Sant Premanand Maharaj.

During the satsang, Saint Premanand Maharaj said that “A pure mind is the path to attain God.” Giving an example, he said that just as reflection is visible only in a clean mirror, God is experienced only in a pure mind.

He also explained that the real meaning of devotion is renunciation of ego and seeing the form of God in all living beings is true devotion.

Virat and Anushka remained calm while listening to the saint’s sermon and did not ask any questions. He also listened carefully to the answers to the questions of other devotees present in the ashram.

Guru Darshan at Varah Ghat Ashram

After leaving Kellykunj Ashram, both of them reached the Ashram of Sant Hit Gaurangi Sharan Maharaj located at Varah Ghat at around 10 in the morning. Here he had darshan of the Guru and received blessings. After this both returned to the hotel and left Vrindavan at around 11 o’clock.

Growing trend towards spirituality

In the last few years, Virat and Anushka have been inclined towards spiritual journeys. This is his fifth visit to Sant Premanand Maharaj. Even before this, he had come to Vrindavan many times, where he also spent time with his children.

This journey shows that even amidst the busy life and the world of glamor they give importance to spiritual peace and guidance of saints.

These days Virat Kohli is playing for his team in IPL 2026. Recently he scored 19 runs in a match. He used the short break before the upcoming match for a spiritual journey.
