
Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy Bhooth Bangla nearly touched the Rs 100 crore global mark in its opening weekend and continued with modest weekday earnings.
The film collected Rs 12.25 crore on Day 1, Rs 19 crore on Day 2, and Rs 23 crore on Day 3. Paid previews added Rs 3.75 crore. By the end of Day 3, overseas earnings reached rS 28 crore, pushing worldwide collections to Rs 97.87 crore. On Day 4, the movie earned rS 1.59 crore, taking India’s net total to Rs 59.59 crore and gross domestic earnings to Rs 71.25 crore.
Running on 5,491 screens across India, Bhooth Bangla has drawn strong audience reactions. The film ended the theatrical run of Dhurandhar 2 and established itself as a major release of April.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the movie reunites him with Akshay Kumar after a long gap. The ensemble cast includes Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Rajesh Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, Mithila Palkar, and Wamiqa Gabbi. Released on April 17, 2026, with paid previews on April 16, the film blends horror and comedy, appealing to a wide audience.
Industry trackers expect the film to maintain steady collections through the week, though the pace may slow compared to its strong weekend surge.
