A 700 to 800 square feet roof requires only 10 kg lime and 2 kg Fevicol. Lime provides whiteness and Fevicol makes it stick firmly. By adding half a kilo of sugar in it, the grip becomes better. The total expense will not exceed Rs 300-400.

Method of making solution

Lime should always be mixed in an iron bucket or metal vessel, because while adding water it gets hot and may melt the plastic. Mix 5 kg lime in 10 liters of water thoroughly. Then prepare a thick solution by adding 1 kg Fevicol and half kg sugar. The solution should neither be too thin nor too thick.

First of all, clean the ceiling thoroughly and remove dust. Then lightly wet the roof. The morning is the best time to apply the first coat. Apply second coat after 12-14 hours. After applying two coats, the ceiling will become milky white, which will last for a long time.
