Dehradun, 14 April. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor. Through this corridor, the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun will reduce from 6 hours to about 2.5 hours. It has been designed with many features, the aim of which is to significantly reduce human-animal conflicts. The project includes a 12 km long Wildlife Elevated Corridor, one of the longest corridors in Asia.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Today there is festive fervor in the country. New Year has arrived in various parts. I wish the countrymen a happy Baisakhi, Bohag Bihu and Puthandu. In the next few days, the Yatra to Yamunotri Gangotri, Baba Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham is also going to begin. This holy time is waited for by millions of devotees of the country with devotion.”
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Each program of the Prime Minister is special as well as historical. Today is special in many ways. Today, the lifeline of Uttarakhand’s development is being connected in the form of Delhi-Dehradun economic corridor, while today is the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, the great man who integrated the deprived classes into the mainstream of the society to strengthen social harmony and harmony. I am on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the creator of the Constitution. I pay my tribute to him.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “Along with economic development, this is a project that will generate employment and give mobility to tourism. The construction of this expressway is going to open new doors for economic, social and industrial development for the entire Uttarakhand.”
