In a thrilling encounter on Monday, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) secured a 57-run victory against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2026, effectively halting RR's four-match winning streak. The match, held in Hyderabad, showcased the impressive performances of two young Indian debutants, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain, who collectively claimed eight wickets and dismantled the RR batting lineup during their chase of 217 runs.

Coach's Praise for Debutants

"For a bowling coach, having two debutants make it to the all-time IPL best debut list is incredibly rewarding. Their hard work and talent truly shone through today," expressed SRH's bowling coach Varun Aaron.

Player of the Match: Praful Hinge

Praful Hinge, aged 24, was awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding debut performance, taking four wickets. He achieved remarkable feats by dismissing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius in his first over, followed by the RR captain Riyan Parag in his next. Hinge concluded his spell with impressive bowling figures of 34 runs for 4 wickets.

In an Instagram video shared by IPL, Hinge expressed, "I can't put into words how I feel. It's surreal. I had envisioned dominating my first IPL match, especially in the power play, and to see it happen is exhilarating."

Entering this match with only one win from four games, SRH introduced these two young bowlers. Aaron advised them to treat the game like a backyard match with friends and to enjoy themselves.

Sakib Hussain's Dream Debut

Sakib Hussain, who opened the bowling alongside Hinge, made an immediate impact by taking the crucial wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal in his first over. He later dismissed Donovan Ferreira, Jofra Archer, and Ravi Bishnoi, finishing with remarkable figures of 24 runs for 4 wickets.

"My cricket journey began with tennis ball cricket. My coach, Robin Singh, has been a great support. Varun Bhai noticed my potential during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and has worked with me for the past few months. I owe my success to him," Hussain stated.

SRH's Upcoming Challenges

Currently, SRH is positioned fourth in the points table with two victories out of five matches. They are set to face Chennai Super Kings in their next match on Saturday at their home ground.
