Actor and former wrestler John Cena has paid tribute to the legendary Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle with an Instagram post that captured the attention of the Indian fans.
Cena shared a photo of Bhosle performing on stage, sparking widespread admiration as many Indian fans expressed surprise that he was familiar with her iconic music.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Cena’s co-star from Heads of State, commented “Queen” under the post, while Bhosle’s granddaughter and singer Zanai added, “Truly her natural element.”
The post generated a wave of reactions online. Fans wrote, “GOAt recognize GOAT,” and “Didn't expect John to know her.” Some even humorously suggested the Indian government should offer Cena citizenship, with one commenting, “Is bande ka koe Aadhar card banwawo (Someone please get him an Aadhar card).”
Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday at the age of 92 due to multiple organ failure. Over a career spanning eight decades, she recorded more than 12,000 songs in 20 languages, becoming one of the most celebrated names in Indian playback singing.
She received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. Her last rites were performed on Monday in Mumbai, attended by numerous notable figures from the entertainment industry who came to pay their respects to the legendary singer.
