And the young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi could soon be achieving a huge milestone as well as he is reportedly in line to make his international debut for India on the upcoming tour to Ireland in June.
The 15-year old has been a revelation in the IPL 2026 and calls for his inclusion in the national team are growing after some scintillating displays this season.
According to reports, selectors led by Ajit Agarkar have shortlisted him for the tour to Ireland and a source said:
"He is in contention for the Ireland tour and the selectors have shortlisted his name along with those of many other players."
India are set to play two T20s against Ireland on the 26th and 28th of June before flying out for a lengthy white-ball series in England. India are likely to be selecting a second-string squad for the trip which could give youngsters like Sooryavanshi a chance to impress.

Record breaking India debut could be on the cards
If given the opportunity, Sooryavanshi would break the record for the youngest India debutant. He is expected to be approximately 15 years and 100 days when the series is played.
The youngest Indian to make their debut is Shafali Verma who came in at 15 years, seven months and 27 days while for men it was Sachin Tendulkar at 16 years and 205 days on his debut in 1989.
However Sooryavanshi would not be the youngest player to debut for any country. The record is held by Marian Gherasim who played her debut match aged 14 years and 16 days. The youngest to play any International match is Sajjida Shah who was 12 years and 178 days at her maiden game.
Regardless, it will still be a huge step in the India cricket landscape, with Sooryavanshi poised to take the next giant step with his confidence on a sky-high.
