The Chief Minister said that the new amendment not only makes sacrilege cases non-bailable, but also makes a provision to speed up the investigation process. In this, a provision has been made for punishment ranging from 5 years to life imprisonment and a fine of up to Rs 20 lakh for the culprits, while those who cooperate in sacrilege will also be held equally responsible.
