The Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar currently shows unbelievable performance which nothing can impede. The Madhya Pradesh batter smashed his fastest half-century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and also recorded the third-fastest fifty for RCB in tournament history as his brilliant run continues. Patidar now ranks second in the top run-scorers list for this season after his 53-run performance against Mumbai Indians which puts him behind 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

 

Patidar needed only 17 balls to reach his fifty against MI on Sunday. He scored 53 runs from 20 balls after hitting 4 boundaries and five sixes before his dismissal. Rajat has now scored 195 runs in 4 matches, with an impressive strike rate of 214.29 and an average of 65 in IPL 2026. The RCB batters who hit hard have less success than him because his strike rate exceeds Tim David's 214, Devdutt Padikkal's 201.61, and Phil Salt's 178.37.

Patidar has established himself as a crucial number four batsman. Since his 2022 RCB debut as an injury substitute Patidar has shown rapid development through his IPL batting results and his domestic performance which demonstrate his advancement as a T20 cricketer.
