Rishabh Pant: Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant is continuously struggling with poor form in the Indian Premier League 2026. In the match played against Gujarat Titans, Pant once again proved to be a flop with the bat. The team expected a big innings from him, but he could not complete it and was out soon.
Lucknow Super Giants have played 4 matches so far in IPL 2026, captain Rishabh Pant’s performance in these four matches has been disappointing. Pant has been able to score a half-century only once in four innings of 4 matches, while in the remaining three matches he could not even cross the 20-run mark. In the first match of this season, Pant was out after scoring just 7 runs against Delhi Capitals.
However, after this he made a brilliant comeback against Hyderabad and played an unbeaten inning of 68 runs, due to which the fans were hopeful that he would play big innings continuously. But in the very next match, he again proved to be a flop and was out after scoring just 10 runs against KKR.
At the same time, he failed to play a big innings against Gujarat Titans even on his home ground. In this match, Pant, who came to bat at number three, could score only 18 runs in 11 balls and was caught by Rahul Tewatia on the ball of Mohammad Siraj. Pant’s continuous flop performance is becoming a cause of concern for the team.
Interestingly, Pant’s record against Mohammad Siraj in T20 cricket has not been anything special. Till now both the players have faced each other in 10 innings, in which Pant scored 93 runs in 53 balls, but he has also become the victim of Siraj five times. These figures clearly show that Pant has to struggle continuously in front of Siraj.
