It's a sad and gloomy day for music fans across the globe. Veteran singer Asha Bhosle, the last of the legends, passed away on April 12, 2026, in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. She succumbed to cardiac arrest. On Saturday, her granddaughter had released a statement saying that her grandmother, Asha Bhosle, suffered chest congestion and was taken to the hospital. As per the doctor, Asha Bhosle had her meal with family and post that, she felt uneasy and was rushed to the hospital, but couldn't make it. Since then, tributes have been pouring in for Asha Bhosle, with industrialists, PM Modi, the President of India, cricketers and celebs mourning her demise.


On Sunday, cricket fans were eagerly awaiting the biggest IPL 2026 clash between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. Apart from the game, fans are loving the face-off between batting stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, known for their long-standing friendship.



When the teams took the field, players from both sides were seen wearing black armbands as a mark of respect for Asha Bhosle. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya walked out for the toss wearing a black armband and won it, opting to field against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. MI decided to bowl first.
