In the 19th match of IPL 2026, Lucknow Super Giants will be playing against Gujarat Titans at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. As the tournament progresses both teams will look to get their hands on these precious points in the afternoon encounter. Conditions will be quite dry and hot in Lucknow, and that will play a huge role.

Lucknow Super Giants has done tremendously well with the ball so far, with their pacers leading the way. Their seamers are quite potent and have been quite on fire with the new ball during the powerplay as they have a good wicket-taking rate while also maintaining their economy well. The strong statistics of LSG’s bowling have made them one of the better bowling sides this season. LSG's batting, however still have a few worries, as they required a special innings to get over the line in the previous match while chasing a supposedly easy target.

Gujarat Titans have heavily depended on their top-order batters like Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler for scoring runs for the team but now the responsibility is on them to perform against one of the strongest pacers in the league. GT have faced similar challenges in the previous few encounters against LSG, losing all of their last three matches against LSG. Both teams has its own strengths, which will definitely result in a close contest between them.

At the toss, Gujarat Titans have won and chose to bowl first.

Here's what the captains said at the toss:

Rishabh Pant:

"I think the way wickets are nowadays, you know, the margin batting first or bowling first is not much, but you know, we've got a bowl first. I think for us it's amazing. You know, every win is important and especially when you win like that, it shows the character of a team, you know. But we want to move on from it, you know, take one match at a time and just give our best. (Talks about head-to-head) See, definitely it's a great boost for winning a match and coming into the next one. But at the same time, you know, you still have to give your best each and every match because wicket might play different, condition might be different. But at the same time, last match when we played, we talked about intent on the field. We always talk about that as a team and that was great to see when we were on the field, we were putting bodies on the line. We are playing with the same team."

Shubman Gill:

"We'll field first. Two points in the last match give us plenty of confidence. Looking to play better cricket and ensure the match doesn't go to the last over. We have had a tremendous time, consistency is important in a long tournament such as the IPL. After 14 matches, the most consistent team will win the tournament. Same team for us today."
