Coal is not just a source of energy but is the backbone of the country's economy. With this thinking in mind, a big platform has been prepared to further strengthen human resources. This special conclave, which will last for two days, will not only discuss policies but can also change the way of working in the future.
The 3rd Coal India HR/IR Conclave 'Utkarsh 2026' hosted by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) was inaugurated in a dignified atmosphere at Vasant Club on 10th April 2026. More than 100 HR officers from Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries have participated in this two-day conclave.
Chief guest B. Sairam said in a virtual address that coal is the basis of the country's energy and employees are its biggest strength. He said that this year Coal India is moving forward with the vision of “Reform, Perform, Transform”, in which the role of employees will be most important.
SECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Harish Duhan said that it is a matter of pride for the organization to host this conclave. He clearly said that the real capital of any organization is its employees, hence it is important to continuously work on their development and welfare.
In a special address, Chief Vigilance Officer Brajesh Kumar Tripathi said that Coal India is not just an organization but an identity. He said, “Jo Jeeta Wohi Coal Indian”, and appealed to the employees to be proud of the organization.
Keynote speaker Vinay Ranjan said that there has been a big change in Coal India with time. He said that today employees are being provided better facilities and strengthening communication and empathy at the workplace can yield better results.
'Utkarsh 2026' is not just a conclave but can become a platform to decide the future direction of Coal India. The brainstorming here can bring a big change in the policies, work culture and working style of the organization in the future. This two-day long event can open many new avenues for the HR sector.
