Mumbai: Terence Lewis, a symbol of hard work and passion in the world of dance, is celebrating his 51st birthday today on 10th April. His journey is like an inspirational story. Coming from an ordinary background, he has achieved heights which are not possible for everyone.
Terence Lewis was born on 10 April 1975 in Mumbai. His childhood was spent in a simple chawl, where facilities were limited, but dreams were big. He was fond of dancing since childhood and often tried to learn new steps. A dance competition in school brought a big turn in his life. When his teacher asked if he would like to participate, he immediately said yes. Victory in this competition boosted his confidence.
Terence started his career with the film ‘Lagaan’, where he experienced choreography. However, he did not find satisfaction in films and after some time he distanced himself from this field. After this, she started working as a fitness trainer and trained many big stars, including Gauri Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Sussanne Khan and Bipasha Basu.
Terence got his real recognition from the famous TV show ‘Dance India Dance’. His role as a judge in this show made him recognized in every household. After this, he worked as a judge in many big shows like ‘Nach Baliye’ and ‘India Best Dancer’. His honesty and deep understanding of dance was very much liked by the audience.
Terence Lewis achieved an important milestone in his career when his name was registered in the Guinness World Records. Through ‘Big Bazaar Anthem The Denim Dance’, he created the record of making the world’s largest photo book. This achievement shows that he is not only a choreographer but also a creative mind, who is always thinking of doing something new.
