A high level meeting was organized in the Collectorate Auditorium to review the progress of various public welfare schemes of the Central and State Government under the Aspirational District Programme. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Muthu Kumar Swami B. (IAS), Joint Secretary (NLM), Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, Government of India and Central Incharge Officer, Aspirational District Sonbhadra.
In the meeting, special emphasis was laid on increasing the income of farmers, use of improved seeds, expansion of irrigation facilities and spread of modern agricultural techniques under the Pradhan Mantri Dhandhanya Krishi Yojana. Dr. Kumaraswamy directed that the benefits of the schemes should be made available to the farmers on time and awareness campaigns should be run to increase crop production.

During the review of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Department, vaccination of animals, breed improvement, increase in milk production and strengthening of animal health services were discussed. He directed the officers to make the cattle herders self-reliant by providing them training and to strengthen the rural economy by activating milk cooperative societies.
Under PM Shri Vidyalaya Yojana, emphasis was laid on quality education, availability of modern resources, smart classes, digital education and overall development of students in the selected schools of the district. He directed the Education Department to adopt innovations to improve the quality of teaching and ensure basic facilities in schools. During the review of the Education Department, strong displeasure was expressed over the non-completion of the work by the selected agency for providing smart/technical education in primary schools in the year 2022. He directed that necessary action should be taken by registering an FIR against the concerned agency, so that the quality and timeliness of the works is maintained.
On this occasion, District Magistrate Shri BN Singh, while presenting the progress of the schemes in the district, said that the administration is making continuous efforts for effective implementation of the schemes through departmental coordination. He instructed all the officers to adopt target based working system. Dr. Kumaraswamy directed that the benefits of all the schemes should be extended to the last person with transparency, so that the overall development of the aspirational district Sonbhadra can be accelerated. Present in the meeting were Chief Development Officer Jagriti Awasthi, Additional District Magistrate V/R Vagish Kumar Shukla, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Pankaj Kumar Rai, Chief Veterinary Officer Ajay Kumar Mishra, District Panchayat Raj Officer Namita Sharan and officials of various departments were present.
