Get ready for an exciting showdown as Match 16 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) brings the Rajasthan Royals (RR) face-to-face with the reigning champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). This thrilling encounter is set to take place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Friday, April 10. 

Both teams have kicked off their seasons in fantastic form, heading into this match without a loss. RR has won all three of their matches so far, with their latest triumph coming against the Mumbai Indians at the same ground. The 2008 champions clinched a 27-run victory in a rain-shortened 11-over game, thanks to an impressive unbeaten 77 from Yashasvi Jaiswal and a solid 39 from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

On the flip side, RCB delivered a stunning performance, securing a 43-run win against their rivals, the Chennai Super Kings, at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. Tim David stole the spotlight with a remarkable 70 not out off just 25 balls, leaving the home crowd in awe.

Last season, RR and RCB clashed twice, with the Bengaluru side emerging victorious on both occasions. One memorable match saw them achieve a nine-wicket win over the Royals in Jaipur, where the hosts set a target of 173 runs after Jaiswal scored a solid 75. RCB chased down the total comfortably, finishing with nine wickets in hand and 15 balls to spare, thanks to contributions from Phil Salt and Virat Kohli, who scored 65 and 62 not out, respectively.
