Sidelined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha has sparked speculation about his political future after responding to a social media video suggesting he consider launching his own party.
In the video shared by Chadha, a content creator suggested that to maintain his support base, Chadha should start a new party rather than joining an existing political outfit. Chadha commented on the post on Wednesday, writing: “interesting thought.”
Recently, the MP posted an image on Instagram of a book chapter titled “Never Outshine the Master”, seemingly taking a subtle dig at AAP’s national convener, Arvind Kejriwal.

Last week, the AAP removed Chadha as its deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha. Responding to the decision, he stated that he had been “silenced, not defeated.” The party criticized him, accusing Chadha of avoiding Punjab-related issues in Parliament and engaging instead in “soft PR.”
AAP also alleged that Chadha refrained from questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi or the Centre in Parliament. Chadha countered, emphasizing that his role in Parliament is to address public issues, not create theatrics.
He further denied claims that he avoided opposition walkouts, refused to sign a notice for a motion to remove the Chief Election Commissioner, or was “afraid” to raise important matters.
