After Tuesday, heavy rain and hailstorm were recorded in many parts of the state on Wednesday also. This sudden change has made the heat of April disappear and has forced people to once again take out warm clothes from the wardrobe. While the fans had started running last week, now the cold is being felt from the valley to the division. ‘Century’ of rain in Jammu division, Srinagar also got wet. On Wednesday, more rain was recorded in Jammu division than in Kashmir. If we look at the figures: Jammu city: Highest rainfall of 42.1 mm. Katra: Weather was pleasant with 39.8 mm rainfall. Gulmarg: Minimum temperature reached 0 degree, with 8.2 mm rainfall. Srinagar: Light drizzle (2.3 mm) occurred here with maximum temperature of 11.8 degree. Light snowfall also continued in the higher hilly areas, due to which cold winds affected the plains. Chilliness has increased in the areas. ‘Yellow alert’, hailstorm warning till April 10. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the state will remain unstable till April 10. The department has issued a warning for the next 24 hours: Strong winds: Winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 kilometers per hour. Hail: There is a possibility of hail with thunder and lightning in some areas. Snowfall: Light snowfall may continue on the high mountains. Farmers are worried, there is a danger of landslides. While this weather is pleasant for the general public, farmers are facing problems. There is a possibility of damage to ready crops and fruit orchards due to hailstorm on Wednesday. Apart from this, the risk of landslides in sensitive areas has also increased due to continuous rains, due to which the administration has advised travelers and local people to remain alert. How will be the condition in the coming days? 11-12 April: The weather will be partly clear, but sporadic rains are possible. 13-14 April: The weather is likely to remain completely dry. 15-16 April: Once again there are chances of cloudy sky and rain. At present the temperature is much above normal. It remains below, but the Meteorological Department estimates that after this phase the mercury will rise by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius and the heat will knock again.
