New Delhi Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has now reached the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). The matter is to the advertisement controversy of Rajshree Cardamom. Salman Khan claims that Jaipur District Consumer Commission took unfair and harsh steps against him.

What is the matter?

The matter is of January 2026. Advocate Yogendra Badiyal filed a complaint in the District Consumer Commission of Jaipur accusing Rajshree Cardamom that this brand is promoting cardamom in the name of Pan Masala.

After this, on January 6, 2026, the District Commission passed an ex-parte interim order. In this order, Salman Khan and other defendants were directed not to run such advertisements.

What happened after that?

According to the Bar & Bench report, complainant Yogendra Badiyal alleged that despite the order of the District Commission, hoarding advertisements to Salman Khan continued to be put up. After this, a bailable warrant was issued against Salman Khan in his first appearance on January 15, 2026.

The District Commission also directed to constitute a Special Task Force (STF) to ensure the presence of Salman under contempt of order (Section 72).

Salman Khan’s lawyer’s argument

Salman Khan’s lawyer senior advocate Ravi Prakash told the District Commission that no certified copy of the order was given to him. He said, “When the official copy of the order has not been found, how can allegations of its violation be made?”

The lawyer also raised that he had earlier come to know about the order through media reports, whereas he was not given any official notice.

What did Rajasthan State Consumer Commission do?

Salman Khan challenged the order of the District Commission in the Rajasthan State Consumer Commission. But on March 16, 2026, the State Commission rejected his appeal and upheld the order of the District Commission.

Now appeal in NCDRC

Salman Khan’s lawyer claimed in NCDRC that Jaipur District Consumer Commission did injustice to him. He said there was unfair treatment in the proceedings relating to a complaint about a misleading advertisement.

Strict punitive measures were taken against Salman and certified copies of the order were refused. According to him, this is a violation of justice and due process in the entire matter.

Salman Khan is now fighting for his cause in the National Consumer Commission. He says that unfair and harsh steps were taken against him in the orders of the District Commission and the formation of STF. Now it will be interesting to see what decision NCDRC takes in this matter.
