Patna, 8 April. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who has been declared elected to the Rajya Sabha, chaired the cabinet meeting on Wednesday. This meeting is also in the news because it is being seen as the possible last cabinet meeting of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Before this, the last cabinet meeting was held in February. After that no meeting was called for about one and a half months.


Meanwhile, speculations regarding the resignation of the Chief Minister have also increased. It is being told that Nitish Kumar may resign from his post around April 13. Also, after the end of Kharmas, Bihar may get a new Chief Minister on 15-16 April. However, these claims have not been officially confirmed yet.


Will go to Delhi on Thursday, will take membership of Rajya Sabha on April 10


According to the information received, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will go to Delhi on Thursday afternoon, where he will attend the JDU meeting and meet senior leaders of the party. Also, on April 10, he will take oath as a Rajya Sabha member, while after returning from Delhi, he will take forward the process of forming a new government in the state.

A meeting of Bihar BJP Core Group has been called on April 10 in Delhi, which will be presided over by the party’s national president Nitin Nabin.


Apart from the top leaders of Bihar state, Regional Organization Minister Nagendra ji and State Organization General Secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania will attend that meeting. The leaders of Bihar State BJP who have been called for the meeting include State President Sanjay Saraogi, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai, former State President Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, Minister in Bihar Government and former State President Dilip Jaiswal, Minister Mangal Pandey.


Efforts will be made to decide the name of CM through consensus in BJP.


In the same meeting, the state core group may be asked to suggest the name of the Chief Minister. In the meeting, efforts will be made to decide on a name by consensus. The party high command will take the final decision on the basis of the decision taken in this meeting. After the name of the Chief Minister is finalized by the party high command, efforts will be made to persuade the alliance leaders in this regard. The name of the new Chief Minister will be announced in the NDA Legislative Party meeting in Patna.

Meanwhile, Minister Vijay Chaudhary clearly said that the swearing in of the Chief Minister will take place as per the schedule and only after that the process of government formation will proceed. He informed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will go on scheduled time to take oath as Rajya Sabha member and will take oath on April 10. After this he will resign from the post of Chief Minister.


Chaudhary said that after the resignation of the CM, there will be a meeting of all the parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), in which a new leader will be selected and the new government will be formed on the same basis. When Vijay Choudhary was asked about the new Chief Minister, he gave a roundabout answer and said, ‘Just ask calmly, who will be the next Chief Minister? Those whom you put in the race will be the same.


Samrat Chaudhary’s name is at the forefront in the race for new CM


In fact, for the last few months, Samrat Chaudhary’s name has been continuously appearing prominently in media and political discussions. He is being considered a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister. The special thing is that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself has given such indications several times during his visit, due to which speculations are being made that he can promote Samrat Chaudhary. In such a situation, political experts believe that even though Vijay Chaudhary is not announcing any name directly, the hidden hints in his statement are making a lot of things clear.
